With the development of architectural design, people have higher requirements for visual transparency and the unique beauty of buildings. The proportion of glass in the outer protective structure of buildings is also increasing. As a building material, the safety of glass has also been increasingly valued. Tempered glass used in buildings belongs to building safety glass. Tempered glass is made from float glass as the original sheet, which is heated and cooled again. Compared with float glass and ordinary flat glass, its safety performance is significantly improved. Tempered glass has significantly improved its resistance to external impact, which is 3-5 times that of float glass and ordinary flat glass. When tempered glass is shattered by external impact, it will explode into small particles (the national standard for tempered glass requires more than 40 particles within the range of 50mm × 50mm). When the glass is accidentally shattered and falls from a high place, it will form a glass rain, which will not cause serious harm to the human body.

When selecting building safety glass, the following points should be noted: 1. Building tempered glass belongs to the national CCC mandatory certification product, and the products of certified enterprises are affixed with the 3C certification mark. 2. Check the appearance quality of the glass. Glass with broken edges, scratches, and defects may cause cracking and reduced strength during use. 3. Measure whether the glass is bent too much, as excessively bent glass generates installation stress during or after installation, increasing the possibility of explosion. Inspecting the quality of glass edging, tempered glass with high edging quality has high strength and low self explosion rate.
