Typical laminated glass include 2.5mm glass, 0.38mm interlayer, and 2.5mm glass. Obtain the final product, which is called 5.38 laminated glass.
Multilayer laminates and thicker glass can enhance strength. Bulletproof glass is typically composed of polycarbonate, thermoplastic materials, thermosetting EVA, and laminated glass layers. The latest developments have added a family of thermoplastic materials for glass lamination. In addition to PVB, important thermoplastic glass laminates today include ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA), thermosetting EVA ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA), and thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU). TPU has a high adhesion to glass and also to the intermediate layer of the polymer. Since 2004, metallized and conductive polyethylene terephthalate (PET) intermediate layers have been used as substrates for light-emitting diodes and laminated onto or between glasses. Colored interlayers can be added to provide xxx transparent colors for laminated glass panels. You can also add switchable intermediate layers to create panels, which can be transparent when a small current passes through the intermediate layer and opaque when the current is turned off. This is commonly referred to as privacy glass.
