Recently, Huayou Company visited the Sapphire Float Glass (Tanzania) factory, the first float glass factory in Middle East Africa. The two companies signed a sales cooperation agreement on March 18, 2024, formulated a detailed market development plan, clarified their respective responsibilities and obligations, jointly developed overseas markets, and did a good job in overseas sales of float glass products.
As the first float glass factory in Central and Eastern Africa, the total investment scale of this project is 311 million US dollars. The production of this glass factory will help meet the demand for high-quality glass products in Tanzania, and also provide employment opportunities for the local area, promote technology transfer and talent cultivation. In addition, the operation of glass factories may also drive the development of related industries, such as construction, automotive, and home furnishings, which will have a positive impact on Tanzania's economic growth.
Jointly developing overseas markets is both an opportunity and a challenge for the two companies. But we believe that through close cooperation and efforts, we can definitely achieve greater success in overseas markets, opening up a new chapter for the development of float glass and glass deep processing products.
